The Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) supports international students and scholars, including faculty members, research associates, postdoctoral research fellows, visiting scholars and physicians. OISS provides information to assist in obtaining a visa, arriving on campus and maintaining immigration status.

Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS)
Maintain Immigration Status: International students and their dependents must follow specific regulations in order to maintain immigration status. Maintaining your status means following all the rules of your visa and status as outlined by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Student Employment: F-1 and J-1 students are allowed to work on campus for no more than 20 hours per week during the regular semester, but may be employed full time during breaks between semesters. There are also two types of practical training for F‑1 students: curricular practical training and optional practical training.
