Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA)
The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) competition provides grants to US institutions from the US Department of Education with funding for individual doctoral fellowships to conduct research in other countries in modern foreign languages and area studies for a period of six to twelve months.

The Institute of International Education is a private not-for-profit organization dedicated to the international exchange of people and ideas. Boren Awards for International Study
Boren Awards provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RICE)
A scholarship for undergraduate science and engineering students interested in summer research internships at German universities and research institutions. Interns receive a monthly stipend to cover living expenses. Knowledge of German is not required. Learn about RISE on the program’s website.
