International Incident Reports

Report an Incident Abroad

WashU is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members while traveling internationally. To ensure timely support and compliance with university policies and legal requirements, all community members must report any incidents that occur abroad, especially those that violate WashU policies.

Report incidents involving:

Travelers requiring immediate assistance should call International SOS at 1-215-942-8478 or WashU Police at 1-314-935-5555.

Once an incident report is submitted, Global Travel Safety will provide requested support and ensure compliance with reporting requirements such as the Clery Act, Title IX, and Workers’ Compensation. All information provided will remain private and shared only with relevant personnel.

Domestic Incident Reports

To report incidents that occur domestically rather than during international travel, the following resources are available:

• WashU Police – report immediate or emergency safety concerns
• Silent Witness Form – a confidential and anonymous form to report a crime
• WashU Cares Report Form – connects student to mental, medical, financial and academic resources through supportive case management
• Gender Equity and Title IX Office – provides support regarding gender-based discrimination through a formal or informal complaint process
• Offices of the Ombuds – offers confidential, independent, and impartial resources in the informal resolution of university-related conflicts for faculty, staff, postdoctoral appointees, and medical and graduate students
• Student Conduct Incident Report – report incidents that may be a violation of the WashU Conduct Code or concerns bias-related incidents
• WashU Reporting Hotline – a confidential and anonymous report on select concerns or suspected violations of university policies
