The WashU Global Advisory Council was convened by Chancellor Andrew D. Martin to synthesize key trends in global higher education, to collate global-related activities and accomplishments across the university, and curate approaches to maximize the impact of WashU’s global efforts in research, education, patient care, recruitment and advancement.
The Council will help:
- Generate awareness and build appreciation for WashU efforts in the global space;
- Enhance cross-school information sharing and collaboration around global topics;
- Provide critical insight to expand WashU’s reputation and impact in the world;
- Strengthen relationships with local and global alumni communities in support of international initiatives.
The Council is chaired by the senior vice provost for graduate education and international affairs and typically meets quarterly.
